Some people choose not to. The reason is order. Tradition says the wedding band goes on first, closest to the hand. If the engagement ring is already there, the wedding band ends up on top. That is the wrong order by tradition. So some brides move the engagement ring to the other hand before walking down the aisle. After the ceremony, they move it back on top of the wedding band. But many people skip this entirely. They wear the engagement ring the whole time and rearrange later. Or they do not worry about the order at all. It is personal preference, not a rule.
