Our lab-grown diamonds come with an IGI grading report. GIA-graded diamonds are available on request. We check every stone before it is set. Moissanite is a different gemstone, so this grading applies only to our lab-grown diamonds.

What is a halo engagement ring?
A centre stone framed by a ring of small diamonds, which makes the top of the ring wider and brighter without adding carat weight. The halo usually follows the outline of the centre stone, so an oval gets an oval frame and a pear gets a pear.
The halo stones are small. Leona, photographed with an 8mm, 2 carat round, has 17 halo stones weighing 0.34 carat together. The number changes with the size of your centre stone.

How much does a halo engagement ring cost in Australia?
From $3,600 for a complete ring with a 1 carat lab-grown diamond, $4,800 with 2 carats and $7,500 with 3 carats. These are our prices for complete rings in 18k gold, each with an E to F colour, VVS1 clarity, IGI-graded lab-grown diamond, checked on 27 October 2026.

A halo setting on its own starts at $1,700, or $2,180 with a pavé band, before you choose a centre stone. Every complete ring is in our 1 carat, 2 carat and 3 carat collections.
Halo or hidden halo: which should you choose?
A halo if you want a bigger, brighter top to the ring; a hidden halo if you want a solitaire look from above with sparkle from the side. A wrap-around hidden halo takes the small diamonds further around the basket under the stone.

Stone counts are for each design as photographed. Our halos are Leona, Gabriella, Lola, Samara and Ziphora, plus Vienna, Marlee, Dakota and Camila with a pavé band. Our hidden halos are Ahri, Ana, Ivy, Monet, Sophia, Taylor and Zarah, and the wrap-around hidden halos are Angelina, Miley and Willow.

Which diamond shapes come in a halo?
Round, oval, pear, cushion, marquise and emerald, plus princess and radiant with a hidden halo.
- Round halo: Leona.
- Oval halo: Gabriella, and Vienna with a pavé band.
- Pear halo: Lola, and Dakota with a pavé band.
- Cushion halo: Samara, and Camila with a pavé band.
- Marquise halo: Ziphora.

Will a straight wedding band sit flush against a halo?
Often not. A halo reaches across the top of the band beside it, so most halo rings need a curved band or a small gap. A raised setting can leave room for a straight band, so check the side view of the design you like.

Do halo stones fall out?
They can work loose after a hard knock, so have the claws checked once a year. More small stones also means more places for soap and lotion to collect, so a halo needs cleaning more often than a plain solitaire.
- For a halo: a wider, brighter top, and a centre stone that looks larger than its carat weight.
- Against: more cleaning, more small stones to check, a higher halo can catch on knitwear, and most need a curved or gapped wedding band.
