3 Carat Pear Shape Lab Grown Diamond Price

A 3 carat pear shaped lab-grown diamond costs about $2,810 to $7,740 as a loose stone in Australia, with a median of $4,212. That is the middle 80% of the 34 pear shapes between 3.00 and 3.09 carats on our live feed on 17 September 2026. Every stone is D to F colour, VS1 clarity or better, and IGI certified.

Set in a finished engagement ring, a 3 carat pear costs $8,750 to $9,550 in 18k gold, or $8,800 to $9,700 in platinum. Those are the fixed prices of our seven complete 3 carat pear rings, each made with a 3.00 to 3.09ct, E to F colour, VVS1 clarity centre stone.

6 stones listed at more than twice the median for their group are left out of the price ranges, because they are priced far above stones of the same weight and grade.

A 3 carat pear is about 12.7mm long and 8.1mm wide. The 13 pears just under 3 carats had a median of $3,603, about $610 less. The more surprising result was further up: the seven pears between 3.30 and 3.49ct had a median of $3,839, below the 3 carat group, for a stone about 1mm longer. The groups in between were pulled up by a handful of expensive top-grade stones.

VS1 and VVS2 pears were within about $115 of each other at the median. VVS1 was $7,574, roughly double. Colour showed the same kind of jump, with F colour at $2,994, D at $4,668 and E at $6,843, because seven of the 13 E colour stones were also VVS1. A pear is a brilliant cut, so VS1 and VVS2 look clean, and F colour stays white at this size.

At VVS2, stones just under 3 carats were about $600 cheaper. At VS1 the 3 carat stones were not more expensive, so the under-3 saving only applies from VVS2 up.

Our complete rings all use an E to F colour, VVS1 clarity stone, the grade where pears are most expensive. A loose 3 carat pear at that grade runs $4,106 to $8,590, with a median of $7,196, against $4,399 for an oval and $4,913 for an emerald cut. The setting is not the difference; the stone is.
