How much is a 2 carat lab-grown radiant cut diamond?

A 2 carat lab-grown radiant cut diamond costs about $2,380 to $2,890 as a loose stone in Australia, with a median of $2,610. That is the middle 80% of the 41 radiant cuts between 2.00 and 2.09 carats on our live feed on 17 September 2026, the tightest price range of any shape at this weight. Every stone is D to F colour, VS1 clarity or better, and IGI certified, and only two outliers sit above $4,200.

Set in a finished engagement ring, a 2 carat radiant costs $4,250 to $5,050 in 18k gold, or $4,300 to $5,200 in platinum. Those are the fixed prices of our six complete 2 carat radiant rings, each made with a 2.00 to 2.09ct, E to F colour, VVS1 clarity centre stone, and the lowest-priced complete 2 carat rings we make in any shape.

2.30 to 2.49ct36$2,210 to $5,636$2,8289.4 x 6.6mm

12 stones listed at more than twice the median for their group are left out of the price ranges, because they are priced far above stones of the same weight and grade.

A 2 carat radiant measures about 9.0mm by 6.2mm. There were 46 radiants just under 2 carats, with a median of $2,458, about $150 less than the 2 carat group. The few stones between 2.10 and 2.19ct cost about the same as exact 2 carats but were noticeably longer, at 9.7mm, because several were elongated cuts.

Is a higher clarity worth it on a radiant?

On a radiant, usually yes, because it costs so little:

Clarity at 2.00 to 2.09ctStonesPrice rangeMedian price
VS113$2,381 to $2,769$2,518
VVS211$2,362 to $2,885$2,610
VVS117$2,276 to $4,180$2,650

2 stones listed at more than twice the median for their group are left out of the price ranges, because they are priced far above stones of the same weight and grade.

Only $132 separated the VS1 and VVS1 medians. A radiant has brilliant faceting across a rectangular outline, so inclusions are well hidden at every grade, but when the top grade costs this little more there is not much reason to go without it. Colour followed the same gentle slope, with F colour at $2,538, E at $2,650 and D at $2,765.

Does an exact 2 carat radiant cost more?

Carat weightVS1 medianVVS2 medianVVS1 median
1.90 to 1.99ct$2,369 (14 stones)$2,529 (19 stones)$2,658 (13 stones)
2.00 to 2.09ct$2,518 (13 stones)$2,610 (11 stones)$2,650 (17 stones)
2.10 to 2.19ct$2,506 (2 stones)$2,646 (4 stones)None listed
2.20 to 2.29ct$4,222 (6 stones)$2,751 (11 stones)$2,980 (4 stones)
2.30 to 2.49ct$2,865 (16 stones)$2,443 (13 stones)$3,589 (7 stones)

A little at VS1, where stones just under 2 carats were about $150 cheaper. At VVS1 there was no premium: the 1.90 to 1.99ct and 2.00 to 2.09ct stones had the same median. That makes a 2 carat VVS1 radiant one of the better-value combinations on the whole feed.

Which radiant outline costs the least?

Radiants come in square to long outlines, and the ratio moved the price more than clarity did. The squarer stones around 1.35 had the lowest median at $2,402, the classic rectangles at 1.40 and 1.50 sat around $2,540 to $2,575, and the longer 1.60 stones were highest at $2,765. A longer radiant looks bigger on the finger, so part of that premium is paying for spread.

How much is a complete 2 carat radiant engagement ring?

Every ring below comes with a 2.00 to 2.09ct, E to F colour, VVS1 clarity, IGI certified radiant, set on a 2mm band in solid 18k gold or platinum. The price includes the diamond and the setting:

RingStyle18k goldPlatinum
BillieEast-west solitaire$4,250$4,300
GracieSolitaire$4,250$4,300
ZarahSolitaire with a hidden halo$4,550$4,700
ZendayaBezel solitaire$4,600$4,750
BonnieSolitaire with a 3/4 pavé band$4,650$4,800
ViolaThree stone with pear side stones$5,050$5,200

At that stone grade, a loose 2 carat radiant runs $2,276 to $3,211 on its own, with a median of $2,573, the lowest of any 2 carat shape we stock. That helps explain why our radiant solitaires start at $4,250, below every other 2 carat shape. The hidden halo, bezel and pavé versions add $300 to $400, and the three-stone with pear side stones is $5,050.

To choose a squarer or longer radiant yourself, pick the stone in our ring builder and pair it with a setting.

The bottom line on 2 carat radiant cut prices

As of 17 September 2026, most 2 carat lab-grown radiants cost $2,380 to $2,890 loose, and a complete 2 carat radiant engagement ring costs $4,250 to $5,200. Radiant is the most predictable shape to buy at this weight: choose the outline you like, take VVS1 because it costs little more, and expect prices to sit close together.
